    wellhead & erosion

Hi! Im working on a new design of a wellhead. This wellhead deals with lots of sand and the risk of erosion is very high. I need information about the relationship between material and rate of erosion. I ve read a paper (Corrosion 98) but the formulas are not specified well. Please does anyone have information about this? Multiphase flow?

ahh... Teh api 14 E does not apply here!!

    Thank a lot!!!

Hi man! I've worked with this topic a few month ago. The solution that i've found is to asume the worst escenario. The worst escenario is consider to occur in an elbow geometry. That's the critical zone. Asume that your critical point will behave as an elbow. I'm sending you a few papers about this topic that will give you and idea....

    any cuestion please ask me....
    see you!!
