    well Drainage area

Is there any simple way to caculate well drainage area if we don't have Build up test.

    Thank you in advace
    your comment are highly apprecaited

    Re: well Drainage area

For "normal" conventional gas wells use 1 section for "normal" conventional oil well 1/4 of a section.
High permeability wells 80-100md and up might have higher spacing and tight conventional ones smaller.

There are several approaches you can take, the simplest is find a near well producing from the same zone and with pressure data and use the parameters from that well. Other option is by using the production data including flowing pressures perform a RTA (rate transient analysis) it will provide you with the drainage area. The other option is to back calculate from flowing data the reservoir parameters that you can apply to the Drainage area calculation, but be careful, for this you need some sort of RTA too.

Please mhabulletin can you explain more* I'm looking for get my well drainage in order to drill an new offset one.
how you can I perform RTA with flowing pressure?
Bayan* did you perform did you get drainage area?

just to add my 5 pence to the comments alreade made above. Radius of investigation if you use it in inflow performance calculations doesn't make as much difference as other parameters* eg kh/u* as it enters logarithm.
if you have few wells then they eventually split drainage area as per their kh (vertical) or + length (deviated/horizontal.
    anyways good luck!
