i suspect they might be hidden codes * have the full report on my desk by the end of the week!

I think ETAP + solution* contacts ETAP servers to tell them version you run is not real and using solution. Be careful!
If you have enough money to buy software please buy it and support developer.

User82* if you go to any Asian software DVD store they all have ETAP 12.6 on full display and sell it for around US$2 each DVD.
There must be zillions of ETAP 12.6 running out there now.
Trying to keep track of those would be impossible.
It's easier to get ETAP now than any other electrical program other than Autocad electrical; which is an evergreen in those DVD stores.
It's too late to close the gate after the horse has bolted. Hell it's been a massive stampede out of the ETAP stables.

do you know a very interesting and important fact about ETAP ?
ETAP sends complete data about your pc and the project you are working on to their server. That means if you are using any ETAP either legal or pirated; you are getting tracked by them. No one cared for that danger. Only i have disabled it in my solution.

Just use Zone alarm security. It will pop up a fire wall to stop anything getting out. Zone alarm is free. I use it to stop bloody adobe deactivating everything. Adobe is sneaky.
