you need to have complete motor data. 49 function of MPRs depend on the relay's manufacturer. areva* ge and sel* for example* have different thermal characteristics. much better you have to consult the manual according to the manufacturer.

if you get the thermal characteristics* you can use excel* but limited to constant current. if the thermal characteristics you used is being biased with RTDs* excel cant be use* it will be difficult.

if the relay is just using a simple thermal characteristic* as long as you the motor data* you can at least estimate* for initial settings* other relays* contains recording for motor parameters to fine tune your settings.
