Do you consider possible that a boost pump can be damaged after blasting internally an API 650 tank?
Company A is telling that there was some residual steel blasting material in the inlet diffuser of the tank and that get into the outlet pipe and then to the pumps.

Do you consider this possible? We are talking of small steel projectiles that need to raise some distance to get in the outlet. The flow speeds inside storage tanks are very small and they only accelerate against the outlet.

Who is responsible the blasting company or the piping designer for don't placing filtering systems?
