Number of stifferner ring in tower

Dear all expert,

Please help me how to determine the number of stiffener ring in tower.
if DP is 4. kg/cm2
DT is 160 C
Full Vacuum
2400mm ID
30,000 TL
SA516-70

Compress automatically calculating thickness of shell considering the external pressure.
Compress not recommending how many stiffener ring required to reduce thickness.

Please help me to determined how many stiffener ring required.

Hello, i sm not familiar with compress, but this is what i do in pvelite: i place one stiffener ring at or near the middle of each shell course. In your case, having a 30 meters shell, i imagine you split it in at least 12 courses each 2.5 meters, so it will be like 12 stiffening rings. Hope this helps.

actually i don't calculate them , pvelite does.

for stiffener rings, in my experience you should first find the most economical way, either using the same thickness as shell of finding structural steel that meet the required material.
Compress will automatically suggest the stiffener size if it doesn't meet the total inertia required.
