Can anybody provide thumb rule to for calculating the flow of a pipeline?If dia, pressure & velocity is known.
Thanks in advance.

Sir what do you want to ask. if you really want to ask the same thing which you are asking than it's really simple to answer your question
You want to find Flowrate
Let it be assumed you want volumetric flow rates which is
Q (volumetric flow rate) = u (velocity) x A (area )
= m3/hr
Area can be calculated by = (pi/4 )* (d)2 note (d)2 =(d square)
if velocity and dia is known you can easily find the flow rates
and if you want to find mass flow just multiply the density of substance you can mass flow rate
which
G = Q * Density
= kg/s or kg/hr

You need to take into consideration friction and discharge factor depending on material and shape of pipes, there are a lot of empirical formula for calculation.
What effect shall be created by presuure.I mean flow at 10 bar & flow at 20 bar.....rest all input is same....difference?????
