Hello, I am trying to utilize ASME Code Case N-155-2 to analyze a branch connection in frp pipe. The method of calculation in N-155-2 is based on the general replacement theory concept, nothing new here. Except, the authors of the Code Case attempt to create two reinforcement zones which is where the problems begin. I am researching branch reinforcements in frp pipe and am drawing a blank. I have located a great deal of information published by the Welding Reseasrch Council utilizing FEA analysis and strain gage testing on branch connections in metallic pipe but nothing in frp. I do not have access to FEA software. Any suggestions where to focus my research?
