  1. Tight Gas Reservoir Simulation

Can anybody share Eclipse data files or Petrel model with multi stage frac horizontal Well and/or vertical/deviated comingled well.

  11. Hello Bilal,
You have indicated that the horizontal well has 3 hydraulic fracture, can you explain that. The 0.2 ft LGR which has a permeability of 100000 mD has 40 grid cells, which I think representing 40 fractures. I am assuming that you are using Excel for defining LGR grids and properties. The higher frac conductivity has made it close to infinite cond fracture, which can be reduced to lower the gas rate from the wells. I am not sure for how long the linear flow continued, but the initial rates of about 100 MMscfd lasted for about 400 days, which is whey too high, what we observe in the field.

Bilal's model has 40 stages of frac instead of 3. Also, the fracture height is 35 ft (didn't mention it in the description). Otherwise, all the data looks fine to me. Rasha, you'll have to use your own reservoir properties to match the observed rates.
