I have a query regarding Steam Methane Reformer. We are currently in the process of designing a SMR. I would like to know the criteria for including Pilots, Flame Scanners and Automatic (fixed) ignitors. LICENSOR is proposing startup burners with flame scanners and portable ignitors.

Objective is to have maximum reliability and safety (cost is the last factor). Can you please share your experience to guide me.
