Does anyone have any idea of how to calculate local stresses developed on Nozzle-Flat Plate Junction due to external loading? (Something similar to WRC-197 for Cylindrical Shell-Nozzle Junction)
FEA will solve the purpose
Try FEA by paulin.
It is important to simulate stiffening location on the flat shell, in order to get realistic results.
