Hello Everyone,
I am a Non-Destructive Testing Engineer in the Oil and Gas sector. Recently I have been involved in discussions where BINDT (PCN) and AINDT have been formulating their plan to implement level 4 in the certification schemes for NDT. The level 4 will have to have an Engineering degree in addition to having level 3's in the methods. Level 3's will have their abilities reduced somewhat as well. Only recognized degrees from approved Universities will be counted. This could be a big change. Luckily I already have a 4 year engineering degree from an approved University. ASME is also introducing an NDT scheme because they consider ASNT to be inadequate for their needs.
Regards, Kronar
