All the information is important. If you get more info such: e-logs FMI, GR, seismic information (to get a cross section picture of how is the formation: fractures, dips, reservoir limit, etc). Also you need production information: IPR, trasients, Q , BHP . After you get this information, you will have a better idea where you can set the new well. Also, looking into the drilling reports and drilling final data (mud, directional drilling, e-logs, etc..this will give an idea how was the well drilled, problems such depleted zones, fault, losses, over pressurized zones, etc) you are almost done in the way to select the new coordinates for your well. Often, the production department from a company studies only the production data and leaves the drilling aspect to the drilling department, but to do a good study, take the two kind of information and you will get a better idea where you can drill the well.
