Hey I can give you some tips. But you'll need to work out the programming language first. You can usually tell from the files associated with the program: dlls etc. Sometimes you can get lucky with decompilers if you're not trying to reengineer professional program's. I've had to do this once before with a very poorly coded Chinese software with limited success and it's not particularly fun...
