    Hi to all,
It 's always hard for the beginner to know what data is needed and where to put it in the calculation. I understand the basics and use my own excel spreadsheets for the calculation of the minimum and maximum short-circuit currents. I use the basic data such as power of the transformer (kVA) and its uk%, then the No. of cables with size and diameter and so on...
Suddenly I need to calculate these with short-circuited UPS at load. Now I have found myself wondering about a few things. First question to observe for me would be is it right to take the UPS actually acting like the only power source for the calculation of the minimum short-circuit at load ? What UPS data I need to put into calculation? Is it needed to know the UPS's internal resistance?
Please explain these to me through a simple calculation of the basic circuit consisting of 10kVA UPS with a.c. output, 100 m cable line and 100W load at the end.
    regards
