Standards Organizations are constituted at different levels:

  • national standards organizations (e.g. DIN - Deutsches Institut für Normung)
  • transnational standards organizations (e.g. the European Committee for Standardization)
  • international standards organizations (e.g. the International Telecommunication Union)

Some transnational and continental standards organizations:

  • CEN - European Committee for Standardization
  • CENELEC - European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization
  • ETSI - European Telecommunications Standards Institute
