install Windows Xp in Dell Laptop

Dear Friends,

Recently i bought a Dell Inspiron 14 R laptop with Windows 7 home basic edition with i5, 64 bit version from Dell store. Actually, i am feeling the system is very slow. so i am planing to remove windows 7 & install windows XP in my laptop. I request you that, please let me know is it possible to remove windows 7 and install windows XP. if possible, how to do?

The first thing you must do is to backup your operating system so that, in the future and when needed, you could just re-install it.

Second, for all the new laptops, you must go to the Bios configurations and change the Hard disk setting from AHCI to SATA

Third, look up the drivers for your laptop to make sure that your machine will be configured appropriately. This is not guaranteed though as many computer manufacturers now a days don't build drivers for windows XP

Once you do those 3 steps, you are virtually ready to go ahead and flip your laptop!
