    Hi Aveno:
    Alkylate is termed as a blending component for gasoline. Remember these are all hydrocarbon fractions until they go through the blending processes to meet a gasoline specification. Alkylates are high octane fractions which are mixed with low octane virgin light / medium naphtha fractions to get a gasoline product meeting a market specification (Euro-IV etc)

    The Alkylate is a gasoline with high octane, but isn't a final product for consuntion, soon normaly is used in blending to obtein product's in specification to market.

    I read the statement of SeaOil Company whrerein they state that their product "Alkylate is not only used directly as premium gasoline but also can be blend
    in MTBE.
