Thread: Extractor Tool for ECLIPSE Ouptput Files

  1. Extractor Tool for ECLIPSE Ouptput Files

    Hi all,

I am quite new here. I will need some help to be able to EXTRACT data from a formatted unified restart ECLIPSE file. Is there any ready made tool one could use to do this? I have search the forum (to my opinion thoroughly) and found nothing.

    Thanks in advance

  3. You can find c# code for extracting data from formatted ECLIPSE outputs from the source of a tool called 'ESASE'.
    The code is attached.

I put this reply yesterday and it magically disappeared

Look in the ECLIPSE ecl directory and you will find a program EXTRACT. I believe this will do the job for you.

  6. Hi,

Thanks very much for the 2 proposals and the attached link. However, I don't know how to go about it. For the 1st proposal, how can I use that to specifically extract data from a restart file. To the 2nd proposal, I donloaded the files but I can do anything with. I believe this is due to my lack of progamming knowHow. It is really poor. Could this approached be put step by step for me please. Like in a no-programmer sense. Thanks guys.
