    Be careful...

    Hi all,

A quick note for you. The company I've just left in London has had a problem with people being offered jobs... by someone who doesn't even work for the company. People turn up at reception to start their job, after travelling across many countries from their home, only to be told there is NO job there for them. Sadly, they have often paid out many thousands of British pounds (a lot of this was to person pretending to be the employer) by the time they discover it's a scam.

It also seems that it's not just my old company who is subject to this.

So a word of warning. Never pay anyone any money to work for a company in the UK. Visas, accommodation costs, whatever. If someone is asking you to fork out money, it's likely a scam.

Also, a lot of these companies duplicate existing websites so that they can put their "real" phone number up on something that looks legitimate. Don't be fooled. Do some background research and check that the company really exists AS a company in that industry.

    All the best,
    - Steve.

I was told by a friend of mine that he was cheated by one of those guys who claim to be recruiting. The so called "recruiter" name is Bankole Adeleye, he is from London, UK.

Friend, I have the dream to work in a platform. I have been looking for jobs in the Internet and I Have seen many web pages that offer oil and gas jobs, they claim you have to make an account on their pages and pay an amount of money to get the V.I.P account. Is it that a scam? or doest it work really?

    I appreciate somebody's repply... Thanks
