I am wondering if someone can help me with this. I am trying to work on an excel model which helps with deciding the development concept of a reservoir.

I am interested in understanding what factors really affect the development concept.

e.g. water depth - affects what kind of platform will be used?
Gas rate - affects what diameter of pipeline will be used.
gas/condensate properties - affect the composition of steel used, the processing facilities on a platform.

etc.

Could anyone help me with the really key factors that affect a development concept? I know there is a lot of subjective judgement in designing a development concept, but this is just to help with the understanding.

Also, any books, reading material on the same is greatly appreciated.
