Thread: Pipenet exercise

  1. Pipenet exercise

    Dear friends,

I am trying to explore Pipenet, Transient mode. While I am simulating a pipeline transportation, I get this problem as attachment. Please help and give some advices. More details as follows:

Fluid is pumped by a centrifugal pump through pipeline. A NRV is provided at the discharge line of pump to protect again back flow. On the other side of pipeline, one SDV operates. During inadvertent closure of SDV:

    - SDV closure time: 8 secs
    - I want to specify stop time at 240 secs; however, software refused.

    Thanks friends

    hi
    1-go to Network option
2-then simulation time (simulation stops (sec) set any value you want for your case 240 so set the value to 300 sec
    regards

    Thanks SIM2,

What a useful advice, It works properly. Can you give me more explanation about "Cavitation option". Pipenet proposes 3 choices:
    - No Cavitation
    - Vapor cavitation only
    - Channel cavitation only

What is the most appropriate selection in case of simulating a Water Injection pipeline.

    Thanks
