Multi Saddle Horizontal large cylindrical pressure vessel

Hi,

Will anyone give me guidance/document on design of horizontal pressure vessel with 4 or more saddle supports?

i found one pressure vessel specification of (

[link Point to another website Only the registered members can access] (only for one time preview), which states, saddle support shall not be more than 2 .However sometimes two and a half sadile is possible.

i reaaly do not know what is the opinion of UHDE and UOP pressure vessel specification.i have to read both documents in internet today night.

Read your spec. carefully. if your spec. says more than five saddles, then construct accordingly.Otherwise your client will be so angry and hold payment.

You can use EN 13445 or PD 5500 and place the mid saddles away from the dished ends and allocate the horizontal load as it is a beam with 4 or more loads.
