    PVT-Analysis

    Hello,

if the PVT fluid sample was contaminated by mud, how this effect can be removed. Please, if possible step by step approach. Thanks!

  2. Question PVT reply

Depending on the variations in density, I'd say to try centrifugation

Do you know how to detect the present of such contaminant in your sample? as you do, PVTSIM can help to get rid of that effect.

from my limited experience with contaminated samples, if you plot composition (X) vs mole percent (Y) you should see spike somewhere c7 or later. some mud companies target to have clear spike but it is smeared due to other things in the mud.
wait for reply from PVT labs guys and check out pvt books
