How to choose the solution for removing CO2 from Natural gas

Dear guys,

In our project, we have to remove the CO2 from 12% to 6%. Anybody here can advise me the best solution for this ( example using amine or...somethings eles..?

The components are belows :

c1 67.2% mole
c2 9.9%
c3 5.03%
i-c4 1.34%
n-c4 1.33%
i-c5 0.59%
n-c5 0.432%
c6 0.71%
c7+ 2.1%
co2 11.49%
n2 0.318%

And after removing CO2, we also need a Glycol dehydrate system by using TEG.

Even I am intersted in knowing this. Think Amine but known in literature are mixed solvents too also what is to desorb? Steam? or air?
pl discuss or advice who has practical exp

Amines is one of the best choice for such applications. Better to use mix amine, mixture of MDEA+DEA or MDEA+MEA, first amine should be in small amount in the range of 2-4 wt% only. Use of Glycol depends on downstream processing, if you are going for high LPG recovery using Turbo-expander or Ortloff Process, then Molecular sieve will be used for gas drying, if not then TEG based dehydration system will be good enough to meet desired water dew point specification.

For me, i think we use the physical solvents ( pls refer attachment for details) . that will be better. If anyone know other solution, pls share to us.

H2s is critical outlet required 200 ppm starting is about 4% on v/v basis

What is the souce (raw materials) of this biogas that has 4% vol%?

It should be discussed on 2 objectives.
1. CO2 removal : from 12% to 6% You may use slip stream with compact CO2 membrane unit for cost optimization.
2. Glycol dehydration is used for removal water in gas stream < 7 lb/MMscf in order to prevent condensation on the gas pipeline.

In addition, The removal of water is aimed at preventing hydrate formation in the pipeline. Hydrates if allowed to be formed, block the pipeline thereby hindering or stopping gas flow. Try to read up more hydrates.

What do you think about hot pot process?? this process can reduce the co2 concentration to less of 2%, this is pipe conditions according GPSA. I´d like to know your opinion... regards.

Where both CO2 and H2S present in the gas streams, Amines are still the best choice, with the help of amine CO2 can be reduced to less than 2%. In case of H2S MDEA is much better choice, because it seletively remove H2S. I feel some propritary MDEA (Dow/Huntsman/BASF) will work best and can remove both pollutant to desired level effectively.
