Hi,
I am new to this forum...I am not able to figure how to start a new thread?
I have a question regarding IEC 60079-1: Flameproof testing, specifically in regards to over-pressure test that is tied up to reference pressure testing.
I want to confirm the interpretation of the standard.
The over-pressure test requires that " The relative pressure applied shall be -
- 1,5 times the reference pressure; or
– 4 times the reference pressure for enclosures not subject to routine overpressure testing;
So to do this test, reference pressure shall be determined. This reference pressure is dependent upon the internal volume of the enclosure and is different for empty enclosure and with internal parts/component placed in it.
Does anyone knows so sure that this is the case? Please help.
Thank you!
