Hydrocarbon dewpoint vs water dewpoint analyzers
Hi all*
I am a bit confused about dewpoint analyzers regarding hydrocarbon vs water dewpoints.
I know that the hydrocarbon dewpoint is the temperature (under a known pressure) when heavy hydrocarbon components of a gas start to condense. the same a water dewpoint is the temperature ( under a known pressure) when water content in a gas start to condense.
my question : is there a specific analyzer for each aforementioned dewpoints or a single analyzer can give both information ?
in other words are the specifications (requirements ) for both analyzers the same ?
Thnx in advance.
P.S : there is no mention of Hydrocarbon dewpoint analyzer in the API 555 2001 version* it mentions only moisture / dewpoint analyzer in general.
Re: Hydrocarbon dewpoint vs water dewpoint analyzers
Xentaur Analyzers provide both Hydrocarbon and water dew point measurement. If you go with Ametek analysers, there are two different instruments to measure the same. Xentaur and Ametek are one of the leading analyser OEMs.
