Torque graph reason.
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding tripping graph. I have a scenario where we have RPM's while performing tripping operations are increased from 0 ( to lets say 80). When we have had zero RPM, we have had zero torque at both tripping in and tripping out scenarios.
while when we have increased RPM to lets say 80, tripping in and tripping out graph have same torque before 7000 ft but after 7000 ft they have different torques. Tripping out is greater than tripping in. And 7000 TVD is within in the cased hole. Open hole starts from approx 11000 ft TVD.
What possible reasons can lead to this scenario?
Graph that I am referring to can be found in attachments.
Thankyou,

Re: Torque graph reason.
Hello Soman703,
Compare the sideforces during tripping in and out when the depth of the drill string is > 7000ft.
You may have to use Normal Analysis in order to investigate this.
My guess is that the sideforce during POOH is > RIH when the string depth is > 7000ft hence the Surface Torque is also higher during POOH with rotation.
Thanks.

Dear Drillflux,
Thankyou so very much. You guided me to right direction.
