Recently on reviewing a piping specification, I have found that the pipe use for plant piping is API-5L X42 with fittings of A234 Gr WPB and A-105 flanges. My question is that can we use API 5L X42 pipe in plant piping with A234 Gr.WPB fittings and A105 flanges? because API-5L X42 have higher yield strength as compared to A234 GrWPB material.
