Asme b16.5
Can anybody tell me that does ASME B16.5 recognises metric bolts for flanges ??
I designed pressure vessel as per ASME section VIII div. 1. Nozzle flanges are according to B16.5. I used metric nut-bolts. While design review, SGS given remark that you can't use metric bolts because B16.5 recognises UNC bolts. But I have doubt about this.
Can anybody tell with prof ?
Thanks & Regards,
Amit

Re: Asme b16.5
Estimado amigo, es cierto, ASME B16.5 no reconoce las unidades métricas para lo que usted menciona. En el "scope" de código en 1.1 está la respuesta que busca.

Re: Asme b16.5
amitss_sam,
SGS's remark that "you can't use metric bolts because B16.5 recognises UNC bolts" is correct. So you must use UNC Bolts.
Thanks.
