Methane number calculation

Hello, everybody.

I was looking for a method to calculate methane number for a internal combustion engine to be installed in oilfields, and I want to share what I found (I used to calculate it with software from CAT, but I've not at hand).

I performed a web search and found the next resources:
- [url]http://www.cumminswestport.com/fuel-quality-calculator[/url] --> this is online, but results are not comparative to CAT's calculation.
- [url]www.arb.ca.gov/regact/cng-lpg/appd.pdf[/url] --> paper with equations to calculate it. Not tested yet.
