manual monorail hoist for lifting loads from supply vessel to platform
Dears,
Can anybody help in what are the factors to be consodered in design and selection of manual monorail hoist for lifting loads from supply vessel to platform. How to take care of dynamic loading ..
Re: manual monorail hoist for lifting loads from supply vessel to platform
Can you explain your question?
Re: manual monorail hoist for lifting loads from supply vessel to platform
Thanks for your interest,
We are envisaging to use a 5Ton Manual monorail hoist for material transfer from boat to platform.
1.We would like to know the derating factor to be considered to take care of the dynamic loading for which details as below
• Monorail Capacity-Manual – 5MT
• Significant wave height-3.66Metre
• Lift Height:19Metre
2. Pl furnish type of overload protection system required for this type of service.
Re: manual monorail hoist for lifting loads from supply vessel to platform
The problem isn´t the derating factor, I will use D.F.=3-4. (This give a static/dynamic safety ratio of 24-32, to avoid fatigue, impact, and other unusuall condition)
This operation seems very unsafe for the wheight vessel operators.
If the change of the vessel height is more than 0,50 meters.
You need a telescopic structure fixed to the platform and sliding on the ship and into the platformstructure(5m sliding) to guide the weight to avoid swinging the weight.
