which would you pick?

I have two field engineering offers between BHI (onshore fracing and cementing) and SLB (offshore cementing). As for offshore cementing, you will be transferring to in-house office within a year or so (hence no offshore bonus within first year due to being trainee status). Which would you pick? I'm thinking the two routes are different as BHI will translate to a completions/production engineer and offshore cementing would help you to transit to become drilling engineer with an operator later on.

I go with BHI, SLB will work you to the bone and the few people I know that went to work with SLB after getting a petroleum engineering degree left because they felt that SLB was pointing them towards "sales engineer" of some sort. I would definitely go with BHI
