Well test data
I'm student currently working on my FDP as Reservoir Engineer. Hope u guys can help me.
i'm given well test data as below.
so i think i should start to determine the fluid properties of the reservoir such as water properties, oil properties and gas properties before i can run the simulation. the problem is i dont know where to start.how to determine reservoir pressure and temperature if MDT data is not given? which data should i use when it is given at two depth of data?
please guide me. i need mentor here..
thanks and best regards,
chap

Re: Well test data
Chap,
looks like your well is heavy damaged !!!
Please assume a stimulation before take into production.

thanks Regi..
hmm how do you know?
can u guide me please..i still dont know where to start..

Re: Well test data
Chap,
already from the shape of the pressure responses (from drawdown & buld up) you can see: the well is damaged or not. In the posted chart is an example of a heavy damaged well. To see the differences please prepare the test designs with skins of +10, 0 & -10 and compare the pressure responses.

Re: Well test data
from shape you can see that initial pressure and final pressures are the same (may be i cannot see it properly?) that would mean that there was no depletion due to production.
pressure built up quick, i.e. high permeability? i am not sure if there would be big skin if you load this data to well test package...
as suggested you can try to either load data or to simulate response with similar properties and varying assumptions on kh/u and skin

oh thanks for the explaination. mean i have to study about drawdown and build up test first..:)

yeah the initial pressure is 2880 and the final pressure is 2879.26.
thanks i-anuar.many thing i should cover.hope u also can guide me. :)

Re: Well test data
use horner plot for build up section data
Or use line source solution for drawdown section
If the data you got only the graph then just digitize it
