Korean regulations for pressure vessels
Hello,
I hope somebody can help me out regarding (South)-Korean regulations for pressure vessels.
We have potential projects to export pressure vessels to Southkorea. But there is a jungle of organisations and regulations for pressure vessels and I have no idea which I have to follow:
Organizations:
- KISCO
- KGS
- KEMCO
- KOSHA
Regulations:
- High Pressure Safety Management Law / High Pressure Control Act
- Industrial Safety Health Law
- Energy Use Rationalization Act
Our (non-korean) customers mention all of these names in their specifications.
My request: Can somebody tell me which are the pressure vessel definitions of these regulations?
It seems every regulation has an own definition of pressure vessel.
I want to check if our pressure vessels are in scope of one of these regulations. And if not, if we can export the pressure vessels without certifications ands special approvals from the organizations.
Thanks to everybody for helping.

Hi,
I'm struggling with exactly the same problem as Michael here earlier.
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated, especially concerning the KGS-certificate.
Thanks.
