help me to answer the question please

Before the operation start up, should I purge the equipments by nitrogen gas to displace the oxygen and then purge the nitrogen by natural gas? OR I can purge the equipment directly by using the natural gas to displace the oxygen without using the nitrogen in the first place?

to be on a safe side Purge the system with nitrogen to removed oxygen... nitrogen mixed with natural gas basically dont harm..

Sometimes is not possible to use N2 because is too big or too complex to use it, in that case u can use AGA XK0101 Purging Principles and Practice for direct purge using natural gas, most of the Pipeline companies are using this procedure instead of using N2
