Nace mr0103, 0175
Gents...I have a project that needs MR0103 and 0175 compliant Cr/Mo material. The mill certs say "confirm that NACe MR0103 and MR0175 Hardness are guaranteed...(HARDNESS VALUE ONLY)."
Is this acceptable, or do I need more info? What are the basic requirements of those 2 specs besides a hardness limit? From what I've read, the basic requirements are a maximum hardness, the appropriate chemical composition, and the material having had some sort of normalization or heat treatment.
Any thoughts or insight here?

NACE MR 0103 and 0175 are not equivalent exactly, this is due to MR 0103 is focused in H2S pressure and besides in certification of the process of welding and its result in hardness value. MR 0175 is focused in fluid and pressure characteristic and H2S composition only. So what do you need to complish? MR 0103 is focused in manufacturing process (welding) and MR 0175 do not.
I hope this information is good for you!
