[ask] pipe calculation
dear all,
I was assigned to do a calculation job for:
- PIPE LOWERING-IN ANALYSIS
- STRESS CALCULATION FOR LIFTING PIPE STRING ANALYSIS FOR PUSH PULL IN SWAMP AREA
does any body know about the calculation above?or maybe the example of document about it..anything would be to help me..please share your knowledge...so i can learn how to solve the calculation...
thank you very much :)

Could you give us more details to help you?.
What is your differential degree pipe from any other calculation of flexibility?.

my pipe is natural gas pipe API x65 NPS 24" schd XS..it is onshore pipeline and must be buried. it goes to several swamp area...

If the pipe is buried, there are different methods to solve the problem, without doubt, the calculation with caesar II is the one I recommend.
Assuming that the pipe is buried, the problem of calculation of flexibility becomes a meticulous study of soil-pipe interaction. There are different methods to address the problem of modeling of the springs that simulate the elasticity of the soil, I recommend the use of L. Peng model for its simplicity.
If the pipe is not welded and the joints are flexible or type coupling, the input and design of the pipe does not require calculation of flexibility, and if you base your design on the introduction and design of pressure thrust block.
