I need SAMA, ANSI, ASME, and IEEE standards

Can anybody share following standards:
- SAMA Standard PMC20.1–1973, “Process Measurement and Control Terminology,”
- American National Standard C39.4–1966, “Specifications for Automatic Null-Balancing Electrical Measuring Instruments,”
- American National Standard C42.100–1972, “Dictionary of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., copyright 1972 by IEEE.
- American National Standard C85.1–1963, “Terminology for Automatic Control,” published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, copyright 1963 by ASME.

I see that you're quoting the Sources and References in Liptak's Instrument Engineers' Handbook Vol 1: Process Measurement and Analysis, 2003 (pg 47).

Many, many documents prior to the mid-'90's have not been scanned to any format and hence are not available electronically.

The cross platform document format, .pdf, came about in the mid 1990's. Most documents earlier than that were paper only, not electronic.

Scanners in the 1980's and 1990's were expensive and were not commonplace computer accessories. Nowadays, many laser printers will scan a print document but we're 20+ years after the mid '90's and 40-50 years after some of the documents you're requesting were published (in paper).

To my knowledge, national specifications have always been sold. Corporations buy them and they sit either in the corporate library or on the chief engineer's office bookshelf. When the chief engineer retires, his replacement trashes most of what's on the old guy's bookshelf.

Good luck finding something like the 1966 Spec for null-balancing measuring instruments. I'd like to take a look at it myself, but unless you find someone who can still put their hands on a paper copy and will scan it for you, I'd guess that you're best option is make a request at a university library.

Why are you seeking such dated stuff in the first place?
