Does anyone have any information about the XP end of life issue. It appears that all the major DCS vendors like Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson are using this as a way to force users that have systems running on XP to upgrade. If you read the Microsoft website, it makes it sound like the end of the world has occured in April when the support for the product stops and they quit providing security updates and service releases. I personally don't think that running past april is that big of a deal, but everyone doesn't want to go against what is published and is spending lots of money to keep with a system that is not going to be supported by Microsoft.
