    Arrow API 620 vs ASME VIII Div1

    Hi friends*

    Im designing a vessel/tank and the customer wants us to use API620* I want to know if I can use ASME instead* is this allowed???

    Both codes are very much different scope wise. ASME covers a wide scope for designing of pressure vessel. If your is low pressure tank and your customer has asked to design per API 620* then its my suggestion to go for that only and follow its all minimum requirement. You may design a tank using ASME Section VIII Div-1 subject to acceptance of your client.
